Myanmar, MyitKyina, remarkable moments in Kachin state

Myanmar, Myitkyina is a city located at the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy river in the north of Kachin state. At the moment Myitkyina is not the first choice to be for travellers who visit Myanmar. However for me it was place in my wishlist of 5 places to visit in Myanmar. Myitkiyana is at the moment a less touristic place, though it has also the opportunity to descent by boat over the Ayeyarwaddy river to Mandalay. This is one of many facts that makes Myitkyina interesting. My first intention is to remain in this city for 2 days, however during my stay here i extended it to 4 days. This as every day becomes one of many interesting and remarkable meetings with the kind people there.

Being located near Ayeyarwaddy river with the mountains at close range Myitkyina has a lot to offer for those that desire to discover it. The people here are very polite and social. Some pictures on my pages will give you an impressions of it… During my stay i made several good friends, discovered the area near the mountains. It is recommended to rent a motobike possible with driver. The prices are about 2000 to 3000 Kyat per hour. In  my next Myitkyina Kachin State Page i will write our trip in the mountains North of this Myanmar city.
